A day

You know how sometimes you just love a certain day? Well, today was that kind of day. It had a little bit of everything...

REI Scratch and Dent sale. Aka, wake up at 6:15 and go to REI to get super cheap, super awesome, barely used (if used at all) stuff. The combo of a sale and gift cards from our wedding were quite lovely. I feel like we robbed the store. Some of our key finds: a watch for John. A pack for me. A camelback. New shoes for both of us. New rolling luggage.

After coming home, John had a study session with his students for the upcoming AP US exam. I went to the grocery store. The cart was nearly full by the time I left produce. Goodness. We got a lot of food and have a lot of awesome meals planned. Excitement!!!!!!

Later in the afternoon we headed to Shelby to help out around my parents' house. My dad recently broke his leg and had to have surgery, so things like mowing the lawn and watering the plants need some help. I captured some pictures of my old stomping grounds while there.

Overall, a gloriously productive and fun day with my husband. :-)
